Position description:

The position is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual (Islamic) and psychological growth. This position is responsible for organizing and implementing a hybrid integrated instructional program (Quran-WAVA) that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with Pace Washington policies.

Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Identify, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
  • Assist in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
  • Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures.
  • Provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
  • Collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
  • Model professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers and community.
  • Model Islam in every aspect of teaching; hence, leading students towards Love of Allah (SW), His prophet (pbuh), and His Book (Al-Qur’an).
  • Ensure that student growth and achievement is continuous and appropriate for age group, subject area, and/or program classification.
  • Establish and maintains cooperative working relationships with teachers/staff, students, and parents.
  • Assume responsibility for meeting his/her course and school-wide student performance goals.
  • Demonstrate gains in student performance.
  • Participate in training and presentations about online/traditional teaching.
  • Meet professional obligations through efficient work habits such as: meeting deadlines, honoring schedules, coordinating.
  • Implement and exhibit proper etiquette and behavior at all times; serve as a good moral and ethical and Islamic behavior role model for the children.
  • Ensure that the teaching methods are used which are in accordance with Islamic principles and values.
  • Ensure students are taught Islamic ‘adhabs’ manners and principles at all time during the school hours.
  • Adopt various teaching methods to facilitate learning and development of children’s Islamic faith and non-faith (secular) education.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by their lead/admin. All work responsibilities are subject to having performance goals and/or targets established as part of the annual performance planning process or as the result of organizational planning.
